Try Not to Forget You're a Perv...

I can't count how many times during my childhood that I used the simple phrase “I forgot” to either ward off or reduce negative attention for either an action, or lack of action.

Well, Herman Broadus went back to the old, childhood standby when he was asked why he was standing in his doorway naked, waving at 8 and 10-year-old girls.

“I forgot I was naked.”

We’ll have to see if it actually works, but I don’t think “Herm the Worm” is going to get off that easy… of the indecent exposure charges I mean. When police showed doubt regarding his story of offensive forgetfulness, he busted out another old standby…

“That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it.”

PASCAGOULA, Mississippi -- A 70-year-old Moss Point man told investigators that he forgot he was naked when he stood in his doorway and waved at two young girls, Sheriff Mike Byrd said this morning.

"He said, 'That's my story, and I'm sticking to it,'" Byrd said.

Byrd said Herman Broadus, who lives on Buttercup Drive in Moss Point, was arrested late Tuesday afternoon and charged with two counts of indecent exposure.
